How To Set Up A Marketing Plan and Blueprint

When starting a Marketing Plan on the internet it can be quite overwhelming as well as confusing.  Lots of people on the internet claim to be experts, and they all claim to have the system that works.

So here are a few steps that you can follow to make things a little easier for you.

1. First You Want to Set Your Goal

If you are generating leads for your business, when do you want to generate your first 10, 50, 100 leads? When do you want to achieve 10, 20, 30 leads a day target?

2. Decide How Much Time You Have.

You need a minimum of 10-15 hours a week. The more time you have the more marketing methods you can use.

3. Decide Which Marketing Methods To Use

In general, I divide internet marketing into 3 broad categories:

a) Social Media Marketing – Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Myspace etc
b) Content marketing – Articles, Video, Press release etc
c) Paid Advertising – Pay Per Click, Solo Advertisement, List Builder etc

If you have less than 20 hours a week, choose one from each category. If you have more than 20 hours a week, then you can choose 2 or more from each category.

Only use paid advertising if you have at least $500 per month of advertising budget to spend for at least 6 consecutive months.

4. Learn About Your Chosen Methods In Depth

Read eBooks, listen to webinars, audio books etc. However, don’t wait until you know everything before you get started. You need to learn as you go.

5. Have a Daily Routine

Make yourself a plan. Determine how much time you are going to spend on each method and what exactly you will do within this time period. Stick to your plan.

6. Review Your Plan after 6 months

See what works and what doesn’t. Try to improve or change to different methods which suit your style better.

If you follow these steps, you are well on your way to marketing success.

To Your Success,
