When I first got involved with my Network Marketing business I pretty much came in the industry like most people. I went to a hotel meeting and learned about an opportunity that could make me a millionaire. I remember leaving that meeting saying to myself, Wow, I can retire in 6 months to a year if I do this right! So I started just like everyone else. I followed the Leader! At least I thought that’s what I was doing. I went to the company training seminars, I got business cards, and I bought the Company Branded audio CD’s, presentation DVD’s, clothing, and brochures. I saw this as being actively running my business. I did this for about six to eight months with very little success.

I continued to tell everyone I came in contact with about my new opportunity. Friends, family, coworkers and strangers were all fair game. As far as I knew, this was what I was supposed to do because this is what everyone else was doing. My upline taught this and to this day they are still teaching this to new distributors. Don’t get me wrong, this works for some people. However, it doesn’t work for most.

I thought that everyone should have this opportunity to get rich just like me. Until one day I took a big look at my progress, and realized that I was not running a business. Eighteen months had gone buy and I was on my third network marketing business opportunity. The first and second didn’t work so I jumped to the third, thinking to myself, I must have gotten involved too late. The funny thing is I soon found out that it had nothing to do with timing and everything to do with marketing. Why do you really think you joined your primary business? Was it the product, the presentation, or was it your emotional state?

If you are like the 98% of network marketers that joined this business, then you can relate to what I have shared with you so far. It is not because you can’t run a business properly, nor is it because you did everything wrong. You just, were not taught how to run a business. When you start a business there are a few key elements that are very important to your success.

1. You must have a Plan of Action (Business Plan)

2. You must have a Marketing Strategy ( Included in Business Plan)

3. You must have a Budget ( Included in Business Plan )

Before you get to the next one, the first 3 need to be in place.

4. People to talk to ( Customers or Leads ) ~ This one is really interesting because I bet you have run out of people to talk to right?

If you don’t have these things you will not succeed in any business. It is like taking off from the airport with no fuel, no destination, and a pilot with only 1 hour of training…Ask yourself this question, would you get on that plane? Probably Not!

Here is the deal, you have not failed at your business, you have only gotten Feedback. And up until now you have been ignoring all the warning signs. The solution to your problem is called Attraction Marketing.
