“The Rich Don’t Get Rich Doing Certain Things, They Get Rich Doing Certain Things in a Certain Way.” ~ Wallace D Wattles
Everything you do starts with a thought. When you have a thought, that thought originates in what is called your Conscious Mind, but your behavior from that thought is controlled by your Subconscious Mind. This is the same part of your Mind that controls your heart beat, your eye lids, and how you tie your shoes in the morning, or even how you drive your car.
If you don’t believe me try this – Think about something that you have already accomplished in your life that you are very proud of. When you started out to accomplish this goal you first had a thought. That thought developed into a belief and then action. Now as you look back you can see how your thought developed into a goal and then into an accomplishment.
These two parts of the mind shape how the Law of Cause and Effect works in our lives. Everything we go through in life starts with a choice that we as an individual decided on. This choice is considered the Cause. Once we make a choice – which is done by our Conscious Mind, we then tell our Subconscious Mind to carry out the order it has just received. Then we get the Effect. This is determined by the behavior that our Subconscious Mind told us to perform. The Effect is considered the consequence of our behavior. It is not what you do that makes you successful, but rather how you do it. If environment or circumstance was the driving factor in becoming successful, than everyone from those particular environments would all be the same. Everyone from poor under developed neighborhoods would be unsuccessful, while everyone growing up in rich and well maintained neighborhoods would be successful. As we know this is not the case. It is funny how most people overlook this simple philosophy.
“The seeds that you sow, will determine the crop that you grow”
Only you have the choice to change the things that you think about, and once you change those thoughts, you can then change your beliefs, and once you change your beliefs you can then change your level of expectations, and once you change your level of expectations, you can then change your attitude, and if you can change your attitude, you will change your behavior, and when you change your behavior, your performance will change, and when you can change your performance, you can then change your life.
